What began as a bold experiment in counterculture retail has evolved into one of Jacksonville's most beloved fashion destinations. Our store carries an eclectic mix of women's clothing, statement accessories, sunglasses, jewelry, shoes, and home décor — each piece hand-selected for its character and quality.

The Park Arcade Building at 1017 Park Street — built in 1928 — has been our home for over five decades. Its charming storefront of cool pastels and flowers, crowned by a Mexican-tiled roof, welcomes shoppers into a one-of-a-kind experience that no online store can replicate.

Our History

Five Decades of Style

1970

Edge City opens at 1017 Park Street in Five Points — originally founded by three teachers from Southside Junior High School as a bold counterculture shop.

1975

New ownership takes the store in a new direction, evolving from its head-shop roots into a curated women's fashion boutique with a distinctive personality.

1980s – 2000s

Edge City becomes a landmark. Generations of Jacksonville women discover their style here. Featured designers like Betsey Johnson and Vivienne Tam join the collection.

2021

Named a Top Entrepreneur by the Jacksonville Daily Record. Edge City is recognized as one of the most enduring and beloved small businesses in Northeast Florida.

2024

New chapter begins. Edge City passes to new ownership — a longtime customer who fell in love with the store — ensuring the boutique's legacy continues for the next generation.

Today
